The Essentials
Seniority: Mid-level
Languages: Italian and English
Preferred Location: Milan
Salary Range: EUR 40,000 - 50,000 in line with our commitment to transparent and equitable compensation practices.
What You’ll Do
You’ll join the Strategic Finance team at the centre of how Unobravo plans, measures and decides: every major initiative, from a new B2B offer to a change in how Operations works, goes through a business case and a forecast that we own. Your work won’t stay in a spreadsheet: your analyses will directly shape our strategic choices, and your numbers will end up in front of our Board and investors.
- Business partnering: Be the finance partner of several business teams, such as B2B and Operations. Help them translate the KPIs of their vertical into P&L; impact, challenge assumptions and set targets they can own.
- Forecasting: Own the monthly and quarterly forecast for your areas,
from collecting inputs to explaining variances against Budget and flagging risks and opportunities early.
- Budget, planning & modelling: Drive the annual Budget and the long-range plan with business stakeholders. Build and maintain the financial models and forecasting tools the company runs on, simple enough that others can use them.
- Business cases & decisions: Build business cases for new initiatives, pricing changes, new countries and investments, and turn them into a clear recommendation: what we gain, what it costs, what has to be true.
- Board & investor relations: Prepare Board packs and investor updates, own the numbers behind them, and support investor requests and fundraising processes.
- Performance reporting: Run weekly and monthly P&L; reporting and unit economics across countries and business lines, with commentary that tells leadership what changed and why.
- Process & automation: Make finance faster by automating reporting and forecasting workflows, including tools you build yourself with AI.
Must-have skills
- Experience: 3-5 years in FP&A; or strategic finance at a scale-up, or in consulting, investment banking or transaction services.
- Financial modelling:
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; you’ve built driver-based models from scratch, not just updated someone else’s.
- Planning processes: Hands‑on experience in Budget and forecast cycles with multiple stakeholders, owning timelines and chasing inputs to completion.
- Business partnering: You can sit with a team lead, understand how their business works, translate their KPIs into financials and manage expectations, including with people more senior than you.
- Communication: You can tell the story behind the numbers, in writing and in a room, to technical and non‑technical audiences up to C-level.
- Ownership & judgment: Comfortable with ambiguity, you prioritise across workstreams and check your numbers before anyone else does.
Not everyone checks every box, and that’s okay. If this role inspires you and you’re passionate about making an impact in our mission, we’d love to hear from you.
