As a Housekeeper, you will:
- Assures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner prior to leaving for the day. Performs day-to-day cleaning tasks as assigned and in accordance with cleaning guidelines. May cross-train to Laundry Department as needed.
- Keeps work areas and housekeeping equipment free of hazardous objects, such as protruding handles, electrical cords, exposed chemicals, sharp objects, food and drinks, etc. Assures that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing housekeeping duties.
- Assure that equipment is cleaned, maintained and properly stored at the end of the shift.
- Clean floors include vacuuming, sweeping, wet mopping, shampooing, disinfecting, waxing and spot cleaning. Clean walls, ceilings, fixtures, vents and baseboards. Clean bathroom floors, walls, ceilings, sinks, toilets, showers, vents and lights. Clean hallways, stairways, elevators and common rooms. Clean dining room floor, baseboards, fixtures and walls. Deep clean resident rooms as assigned. Remove carts from the floor when on breaks. Follows established fire safety policies and procedures.
- Utilizes work order system for tracking cleaning, repairs and other preventative and housekeeping or maintenance requests and tasks.
Days: Full-time
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16years of age or older
- 1 year of previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to serve others
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
