Global Procurement Sustainability Specialist
OverviewIn this role you will drive sustainability within ABB's Electrification – Distribution Solutions (ELDS) global procurement.
You will translate sustainability objectives into procurement programs, embed ESG into processes, and monitor supplier performance and emissions reductions.
You will lead reporting, governance, and continuous improvement across regions and suppliers, acting as the sustainability advisor for ELDS Procurement.
This position offers a global, cross-functional scope with a focus on Scope 3 reductions and data-driven insights to advance ABB's sustainability mission.
ResponsabilitàDefine and advance the global procurement sustainability roadmap aligned with ABB objectives
Embed ESG criteria and responsible sourcing into procurement processes, sourcing strategies, category plans and contracts
Manage supplier sustainability assessments, risk evaluations, corrective action plans, and SSBM/material compliance programs
Set and track sustainability KPIs across ELDS Procurement and ensure EcoVadis coverage where applicable
Develop baselines, targets and roadmaps for supplier-related emissions, focusing on Scope 3 Category 1 reductions
Ensure reliable sustainability data collection and publish regular performance reports and dashboards
Monitor regulations and customer expectations; advise on sustainability risks and mitigation actions
Engage stakeholders and provide training/coaching to support behavioral change and continuous improvement
Requisiti fondamentaliExperience in procurement sustainability, responsible sourcing, or sustainability management in an international supply-chain environment
Knowledge of supplier ESG performance, sustainability assessments, risk evaluation, and corrective action planning; experience with SSBM and material compliance
Understanding of supplier-related emissions measurement and reduction (Scope 3 Category 1)
Comfort with sustainability KPIs, data collection, analysis, and reporting or dashboard development
Ability to interpret sustainability regulations and translate them into procurement actions
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to guide and coach teams
Fluent in written/spoken English; proficient in MS365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
