Procurement Engineer — Global Project Sourcing
ppstrongPOSITION SUMMARY: /strong /pulliTo direct and manage procurement requirements through liaison with new and existingsuppliers and internal Project Execution, Proposal teams, and Project Coordination teams. /liliTo ensure that materials, equipment and services are sourced according to specification, within budget and to agreed timescales. /liliYou will report to the Thermal Supply Manager Europe. /li /ulpbrstrongJOB RESPONSIBILITIES: /strong /ppDuties include but are not limited to: /pulliProvide functional support in purchasing of services and goods as specified by the Project Execution Team and support and obtain quotes for the Proposal teams. /liliAnalyze and compare suppliers’ quotation both technically and commercially and provide recommendations accordingly /liliLiaise with product management, marketing, functional leaders for new developments/products and organize training with suppliers base on this information /liliContract formulation and agreeing terms and conditions with vendor base /liliImplementing procurement strategy towards suppliers and towards Procurement Categories /liliDrive and comply with projects processes and procedures /liliVendor set up and establishment /liliLocal procurement responsibilities /liliThird party suppliers approval /liliDeal with Quality Insurance / Quality Controls problems and issues /liliLiaison with IMEX team for shipping /liliLiaison with PROJECT ADMINISTRATION team for shipping / export / transport in support of project execution /liliLiaison with PRODUCT MANAGEMENT team for Value Analysis / Value Engineering on products. /li /ulpbrstrongREQUIREMENTS: /strong /pulliBachelor degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical preferred); Master degree is a plus. /liliIT skills: Experienced user of MS Office /liliLanguages: Fluent in English and Italian /liliExperience: at least 2-5 years of practical experience in procuring services as well as technical goods within a project oriented environment, preferable with an EI and/or petrochemical background /liliKnowledge of supply chain processes /liliTeam work in a multicultural / multinational environment /liliPrepared to travel within Europe occasionally /liliExperienced in prequalification of vendors, soliciting bids, evaluating offers, placing orders and expediting the delivery of goods and services /liliExperience in projects execution /liliPrevious experience in preparing commercial bid analysis, working closely with engineering departments in the completion of the bid analysis /li /ulpbrstrongSKILLS AND MINDSET: /strong /pulliProject Scoping /liliCommunication skills – Presentation /liliTechnical skills /liliSourcing analysis /liliFinancial skills – cost analysis /liliRelationship management skills – Ethics – Conflict resolution – Creative problem solving /li /ulpbrstrongOTHER INFORMATION: /strong /pulliThis position will be located at Milan (Italy) in a global oriented environment. /liliThis is a full-time position with a competitive package and an excellent environment to work, learn live. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
