Digital Project Engineer
Overview In this role you act as the focal design authority for engineering disciplines on tenders and projects, ensuring solutions meet specs, quality, and safety. You will support local units through design, testing, installation, and commissioning, contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in the EMEA region. You collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align technical deliverables with contractual obligations and best practices. * Provide technical support for engineering design, documentation, testing, and commissioning procedures
* Support tender and project documentation; participate in meetings and resolve technical issues to meet contracts
* Contribute to engineering proposals, planning, and design verification checklists per standards
* Ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance; perform risk assessments and follow-up actions
* Escalate contract, safety, quality, schedule, or cost issues to Project Managers and support variation requests
* Collaborate with Supply Chain, Project Managers, and factories to ensure manufactured, staged, and tested solutions
* Coordinate with Commissioning and Service teams for correct installation and update deliverables
* Share best practices and identify process or tool inefficiencies for improvement Requisiti fondamentali
* Deep knowledge of MV/LV systems and system design (Protection & Control, Automation, Auxiliary)
* Experience with MV switchgear engineering processes in an EPC environment
* Familiarity with IEC 61850 and MODBUS; experience with ZENON; protection relays (REx family, SSC 600) or similar
* Understanding of data center applications (hyperscale, colocation)
* Experience with commissioning activities and FAT/SAT quality procedures
