Export Specialist (Ocean Freight)

/ppWe are seeking an Export Specialist based in Livorno.
The ideal candidate has experience in the logistics field and a strong understanding of export procedures and processes.
/ppThe Export Specialist is responsible for processing shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts.
The resource works with clients, carriers and potential clients on a daily basis.
/ph3Essential Job Functions: /h3ulliPrepare documentation, dock receipts, bills of lading, export declarations /liliFile SED's (Shippers Export Declarations) /liliTrack and trace cargo as necessary to insure proper movement and delivery /liliProvide accounting department with proper and correct billing information /liliCommunicate with clients regarding disposition of Freight (i.e. tracking tracing, routing dispatching, and rate quotations) /liliCommunicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing,
and rates /liliCommunicate correspond with other Company branches and agents for client satisfaction, and ensure excellent service execution /liliSeek the most profitable mode of shipment, yet meet client's requirement for the movement of freight /liliOther duties as assigned /li /ulh3Physical Requirements: /h3pPosition may require extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing and walking.
Some light lifting may be required in some instances.

/liliEnglish language spoken / written - Level B2 /liliMust have excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance.
