Senior Staff Product Designer - Ai
Overview
In this role you will lead the design vision for Deel's AI vertical and related tools, shaping how intelligence appears across the platform. You'll own end-to-end design strategy for AI products (including Deel AI and Akai), guiding conversations between AI interfaces, agentic workflows, and developer tools. You will mentor designers, set craft standards, and partner with engineering and product leadership to drive a cohesive, scalable AI experience. This is a chance to influence how AI-powered design enhances complex global payroll, HR, and compliance workflows. Responsabilità
Define the design direction for Deel's AI vertical and related AI products
Codify craft standards and reusable patterns for AI interactions
Lead design for AI experiences across conversational interfaces, agents, and automation
Mentor designers and align cross-functional teams (engineering, product, leadership)
Collaborate with design systems to reflect AI-enabled workflows
Own problem spaces and drive outcomes for complex AI initiatives
Establish user research practices and incorporate customer insights
Foster collaboration and clear design narratives to connect AI choices with business impact
Requisiti fondamentali
8+ years as a Product Designer in a fast-paced environment
3+ years at Staff level or above
Deep experience designing AI-powered products (conversational interfaces, AI agents, copilots, or intelligent automation)
Portfolio demonstrating AI/ML product design work
Track record of zero-to-one AI product design and iterative scaling
Strong UI/UX/interactions/visual design across complex workflows
Ability to collaborate with ML engineers and researchers on interaction models and confidence thresholds
Excellent communicator and mentor with cross-functional collaboration skills
Data-informed and evidence-driven mindset
Knowledge of payroll, HR, fintech, or compliance domains is a strong plus
