Sr. Automation Tester
Overview
In this role you will design, develop and run automated tests for Abbott's informatics products within a fast-paced, cross-functional Agile team. You will act as a SME for automation practices, collaborating with engineers, analysts, cybersecurity, and other stakeholders to ensure compliant, high-quality software. You'll build and maintain automation tools and scripts, perform thorough test analysis, and contribute to regulatory and security documentation. This position offers impact through robust automation that supports reliable, scalable diagnostics software.
Responsabilità
Design, develop and execute automated test plans for server, web and cloud informatics products in cross-functional Agile teams
Create and run automated tests for containerized and networked components using black/white box approaches
Script and automate test cases to enable test-driven development and continuous testing
Assess integration risks by understanding application architecture and dependencies, and craft strong test cases
Conduct peer automation reviews,
define testing criteria, and present results to developers and stakeholders
Perform test case and run analyses focusing on coverage, boundaries, and regression
Document testing procedures and results in line with regulatory, security, and privacy standards
Provide input to developers on testing requirements, schedules, and potential issues
Troubleshoot, isolate faults, and perform root cause analysis during system integration and testing
Requisiti fondamentali
Minimum 5 years of software development or test automation experience
Knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies
Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
Proficiency in SQL or other RDBMS
Fluent in English (reading/writing/speaking)
Collaborative communication
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
