The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks within our Rolling Stock Engineering Department. And that’s where you come in. /ph3Accountabilities /h3ulliPrepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for electrical components /liliAnalyze and assess technical documentation from Suppliers /liliPrepare and verify electrical system installation/integration drawings/specifications (including material selection, electromagnetic/thermal analysis, etc.) /liliPerform simulations to optimize electrical systems performance and energy efficiency /liliConduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned work package, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers /liliAttend at system stand-alone type test and review of type test reports /liliSupport manufacturing, testing and validation phases /liliReview design documentation with customers and suppliers /liliPrepare electrical schematics, collaborating with mechanical design teams to ensure seamless electromechanical integration /liliPrepare the Bill of Materials (BoM) of electrical schematics /liliEnsure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards and project constraints (time, cost, quality)



/liliPrepare the documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase /li /ulh3Required Skills/ Knowledge /h3ulliBasic knowledge of electrotechnics and electronics disciplines /liliBasic knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies /liliBasic knowledge of electrical CAD tools (E3 preferred) /liliBasic knowledge of electrical components (relays, circuit brakers, cables, connectors, etc.) /liliBasic knowledge of electrical schematics design /liliBasic knowledge of electrical machine design principles /liliBasic knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., Ansys Maxwell, Motor-CAD). /liliBasic knowledge of thermal and electromagnetic analysis /liliGood knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) /liliAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environment /liliGood organizational skills, alongside team-working, problem-solving and results-driven mindset /liliAbility to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners, customers) /liliAbility to work within project teams under minimal supervision /liliAvailability for occasional short-term national and international business trips /li /ulh3Desired Skills/ Knowledge /h3ulliMinimum experience (1-2 years)



in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environments /liliBasic knowledge of main railway regulations and standards /liliBasic knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool /liliBasic knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations /liliFamiliarity with traction systems and power converters /liliBasic knowledge of RAMS principles and processes /liliFast learner with strong willingness to stay up to date with technological developments /liliGood business acumen combined with solid technical skills /liliGood communication and interpersonal skills /li /ulh3Education/Qualifications /h3pMaster's Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics disciplines preferred). /ph3Languages /h3pKnowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2 level). /ppProponiamo una retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 33.000 € e 38.000 €. /ppThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
