The Instrumentation Design Methodology Specialist is responsible, within the projects in which he/she is involved, for the assigned activities, with varying levels of technical complexity depending on his/her skills and experience, related to the setup, preparation and engineering support of design activities carried out through specific instrumentation software tools, such as SmartPlant Instrumentation or equivalent, as well as for the setup of the Instrument Engineering module within material management applications, such as SmartPlant Material or equivalent.

The Instrumentation Design Methodology Specialist supports Project Leaders, Specialists and Engineers in resolving any issues related to the use of software applications such as SmartPlant Instrumentation and SmartPlant Material, or equivalent tools, from an end-user perspective.

Main Activities and Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of the Instrumentation Design Methodology Specialist include:

- Setting up instrumentation software tools in accordance with the guidelines defined in the CAE Execution Plan, in order to ensure consistency of project data, such as the WBS hierarchy, through the integration of engineering systems, including P&ID;, 3D Model, instrumentation software tools and material management applications;
- Setting up SmartPlant Instrumentation, or an equivalent tool,



for the project in order to ensure the quality of the deliverables produced by the Department in accordance with contractual requirements and the project schedule, as well as monitoring the correct use of the tool throughout project execution;
- Supporting the Project Leader in preparing project specifications for SmartPlant Instrumentation, or an equivalent tool, in order to properly define its application within the project;
- Setting up Typical Loops, Hook-ups, CV calculation modules and intrinsically safe circuits;
- Supporting the project team in performing any quality and consistency checks on the SmartPlant Instrumentation database, or equivalent, required during project execution;
- Managing and maintaining the coding system for bulk and itemized instrumentation materials within SmartPlant Material, or an equivalent tool;
- Supporting the project team in issuing Material Requisitions through SmartPlant Material, or an equivalent tool, according to project requirements;
- Preparing, maintaining and archiving electronic copies of complete projects to be used as references for Department activities;
- Supporting the implementation and continuous updating of operating standards and procedures related to instrumentation design methodologies;
- Participating in technical training activities and sharing experience with colleagues across the Maire Tecnimont Group regarding the application of new methodologies and tools, specifically contributing to the technical development of the Engineers within the team;
- Cooperating with the Project Leader or Plant Design Specialist to identify practical solutions for the implementation of bulk activities, such as reporting or database updates;
- Exploring new opportunities related to AI technologies in order to continuously improve the efficiency of work processes associated with SmartPlant Instrumentation, or equivalent tools, internal functional workflows and interfaces with other functions;
- Monitoring the market with regard to the state of the art and providing technical assessments of new products, technologies, workflows, applications and related developments.

Requirements:

- Degree in a technical discipline;
- At least 10 years of experience;




- Previous experience in independently managing the activities described above;
- Fluent written and spoken English;
- Availability to travel within Italy and abroad.

Contract type: Permanent Applicable collective agreement (NCLC): Chemical and Chemical-Pharmaceutical (identification code B011)

Job classification level: White Collar, consistent with job requirements and applicable Collective Agreement

Compensation:

The initial gross annual salary for this position, paid over 14 monthly installments, will be 42,920.92€

The compensation package will include the applicable elements of the Collective Agreement as well as benefits provided under company agreements, including flexible benefits and a participation premio. Any additional variable components and/or benefits, regulated by Standards, Policies and/or company agreements, will be illustrated during the selection process.
