We are looking for a Employee Benefits Claims Specialist to join our Insurance Team in Assago, Italy. Application must be submitted in English The Employee Benefits Claims Specialist will be responsible for the oversight and management of employee benefits claims across the Life, Disability, Accident and Critical Illness portfolio, especially in relation to mobile employee segment. Working closely with third-party administrators (TPAs), brokers, clients and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure the effective, accurate and customer-focused administration of claims throughout their lifecycle.
You will support the governance and performance management of external claims service providers, contribute to claims quality assurance activities, and provide technical expertise on complex or high-value claims. The role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with policy provisions, regulatory requirements, internal procedures and service standards while continuously improving the claims experience for clients and beneficiaries.
You will closely work on following areas:
Claims Management and Administration
- Oversee the end-to-end claims management process, from notification through assessment, approval and settlement
- Review claims documentation for completeness, accuracy and consistency with policy requirements
- Support the assessment and resolution of claims in accordance with policy terms, contractual obligations and applicable regulations
- Provide guidance and technical support on complex, sensitive or high-value claims
- Monitor ongoing disability and long-term claims, including periodic reviews and follow-up actions
- Ensure timely and effective communication with TPAs (where applicable), policyholders, beneficiaries, brokers and clients throughout the claims journey
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within claims management systems
- Identify trends, unusual patterns and potential claims risks, escalating matters where appropriate
- Support claims reserving discussions and monitoring activities where relevant
Claims Oversight and Third-Party Administrator Governance
- Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks with TPAs and other external claims service providers
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, claims procedures, underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Identify operational, regulatory and reputational risks associated with claims activities and recommend corrective actions
- Review claims handling performance against service level agreements, operational standards and quality requirements
- Conduct regular operational reviews to discuss performance, claims trends, service issues and improvement opportunities
- Support the implementation of claims handling procedures, controls and best practices across service providers
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key contact for claims-related matters within the direct insurance and employee benefits business
- Build and maintain effective relationships with TPAs, brokers, clients, Group Claims functions, reinsurers and external service providers
- Support client meetings and governance discussions related to claims management activities
- Contribute to delivering a high-quality client experience and maintaining strong customer satisfaction levels
Reporting, Analytics and Continuous Improvement
- Analyse claims data and management information to identify trends, patterns and areas for improvement
- Provide regular updates and reporting on claims status, claims trends and operational performance
- Review TPA reporting and produce management information, dashboards and performance updates as required
- Monitor claims KPIs, service levels and operational performance indicators
- Participate in claims transformation, operational improvement and digitalisation initiatives

The key requirement for this position is a 5-year-minimum experience in insurance claims management, combined with a solid experience in Employee Benefits, Group Life, Disability, Accident. You must be fluent in English (any other language, especially Italian or French would be considered an asset).

Annual gross base salary offered for this position ranges from EUR 45,000.00 to EUR 55,000.00 (final package will be confirmed individually to the final selected candidate, in line with the profile and the adequation with the position requirements).
